Bins
Bin day is Tuesday alternating between green and blue bin. Please ensure the bin is placed outside on Monday evening.

Blinds
All the curtains and blinds at Sanderling are blackout window dressings.
To open the blind in the top bedroom to the rear please pull down gently and it will pop up on its own. To open the window push down on the bar.
Books
We do have some books available to read at Sanderling.
There is also a library in Bridmington centre and a book shop just opposite. There are also numerous charity shops selling books in the town centre.
Bunk beds
Please follow the user instructions below when using the bunkbeds. Please do not allow your children to put stickers on the bedframe. Additional cleaning/ damage will incur an additional charge.
Cleaning materials
Sanderling is thouroughly cleaned between guests. In the unlikely event you should find things not to your satisfaction please get in touch.
Additional cleaning materials are located under the kitchen sink
Dogs
Sanderling is a dog friendly house. We do request that you use the throws provided to protect the furniture and soft furnishings.
We fully believe you know your dog best and if you feel they would be happy to be left please check on them a minimum of every 3 hours for their own comfort. This is their holiday too and dogs can become anxious away from home. If in doubt please crate them or leave them in the kitchen area.
There is a Clever dog dog cam located in the drawer under the television that can be plugged in and the app downloaded so you can check on them whilst you are out.
Please clean up after your dogs. There is a poo bin in the back garden. Please empty it before you leave.
Any dogs not named on the original booking will be charged an additional fee of £50 per stay.
Accidents happen so please let us know as soon as possible so we can replace/repair/clean as necessary.
Any damage incurred by your dogs will be invoiced for accordingly.
Fire safety equipment
There is a small fire extinguisher located by the understairs cupboard and a fire blanket next to the oven.
Do not attempt to tackle anything but a very small fire yourself but evacuate the house and ring the fire brigade on 999 immediately.
First aid
There is a first aid box under the sink in the kitchen. Please let us know if you have used anything so we can re stock for the next guests
The closest minor injuries is Bridlington Hospital
The closest A & E is Scarborough Hospital
Floor cleaning
Floor cleaning materials and devices are located under the stairs. Please follow the instructions provided.
Hair appliances
There is a spare hair dryer in the drawer in the green bedroom.
When using your styling tools please use the heat protection mats provided that are located in the bedroom drawers.
In emergency
In the event of a fire exit the house immediately and ring the fire brigade on 999
In the event of an emergency ring the police on 999
In the event of a medical emergency ring 999
For non emergency advice ring NHS 111
Infant and Child information
The following items are provided. Please familiarise yourself with them and ensure they are fitted/used correctly
- High chair
- Stair gate
- Step stool
- Potty
- Toys and games
- Nightlight
Please not there are no child locks on any of the cupboards so children should be supervised at all times
Parties
Parties are not not allowed.
Shower
To ise the shower please pull the isolator switch which is the string next to the shower screen.
To use the heated towel rail you must make sure the plug is in the socket located between the bedrooms on the first floor. You will need to remove the nightlight but please replace afterwards for safety reasons. The additional switch located to the exterior of the bathroom door will also need to be turned on.

Additional Rules
Whilst we don’t mind dogs being left at the owners discretion we ask due to its central location that dogs are checked on a minimum of every 3 hours for their own comfort. Any damage caused by unattended dogs will be claimed for through the Airbnb resolution centre. Please use the Contact button to enquire if you wish to bring dogs. Please use the throws provided to protect the furniture.
Additional keys must not be cut nor additional guests without permission.. You may not exceed 9 guests with the exception of babies in travel cots.
A security deposit of £100 is payable via Bank Transfer no less than 1 week before arrival. Access to the property will not be allowed if this has not been recieved. This will be returned within one week of check out with deductions only being made for any damage, theft or excessive cleaning
Cancellations
In the unlikely event we must cancel or make a change to your accommodation we will use all reasonable efforts to contact you as soon as possible to explain what has happened and to inform you of the cancellation or the change. If possible, we will offer alternatives, but should these alternatives be unacceptable to you the booking will be treated as cancelled and we will refund any money you have paid to us within 14 days of any cancellation.
We shall not be liable for changes, cancellations or any other effect on your booking due to events beyond our control (force majeure). In these Conditions “force majeure” means any event or consequences thereof which could not have been reasonably avoided, by us even with the exercise of all due care. Such events may include war or threat of war, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or man-made disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions and all similar events outside our control.
